WISENET INTERNATIONAL LEARNING EXPERIENCE SCHOLARSHIP
With appreciation to philanthropic funding from Wisenet – Australia’s leading learning management platform for RTOs, TWO high-achieving hospitality apprentices have been awarded an international learning experience to Tokyo, Japan.
This international learning experience includes renowned fine dining immersion into Tokyo food scene including experience at the Tsukiji Fish Market and skills observation including front of house, hospitality and kitchen activities at ‘Two Rooms’ and ‘Ruby Jacks’.
This year Wisenet Information Systems is celebrating its 20 year anniversary as Australia’s leading vendor of software services for Registered Training Organisations. Wisenet CEO, Mr Ben Hamilton was the recipient of several scholarships during his education including a student exchange program to Japan. Both Mr Hamilton and Wisenet Co-Founder and Director, Mr Kim Yelland know the life-changing impact this kind of positive opportunity can have on a young person. They are thrilled to be able to ‘give-back’ to the community as part of their continued success in supporting the vocational training industry.
“At Wisenet, we believe that education improves lives. We also believe that diversity is essential for a productive workplace and a healthy society. So when we decided to create a scholarship, we thought it important to include an international experience.” says Mr Yelland, himself a frequent traveler.
With appreciation to philanthropic funding from Wisenet – Australia’s leading learning management platform for RTOs, Skilling Australia Foundation have been working hard narrow down applications from high-achieving hospitality apprentices nationwide. Two finalists, had their final panel interview on Friday 6th October. In an exciting twist, due to the high calibre of candidates, and the task being too difficult to choose between the two finalists, Wisenet has awarded the scholarship to both finalists; two budding young chefs from Brisbane!
