As the Brisbane Times City2South presented by Westpac draws closer, last minute entries are starting to pour in.
The Skilling Australia Foundation is just one of the latest organisations, which has registered to run in the race this Sunday
The not-for-profit organisation, which has just been announced as a 2016 recipient of the Westpac Foundation’s community grant, supports young disadvantaged Australians transition from schooling into the workforce.
A representative from its sister company the WPC Group, Janine McPhee, said the grant would help fund programs that “create real life job opportunities”.
“The funding will go into programs where we seek candidates, and provide them with dedicated mentors and education programs,” Ms McPhee said.
“We then provide workplaces to develop their skills and get qualifications behind them.”
If you would still like to register visit www.city2south.com.au, entries close at 5pm on Saturday June 4, if not sold out prior.
